Privacy Policy
Effective September 9, 2026
Server Side Design, Inc. d/b/a Fair Marketing ("PricePolice," "we," "us," or "our") operates the PricePolice website, application, monitoring services, reports, alerts, integrations, and support (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, how long we retain it, and the choices and rights available to individuals.
This Policy covers visitors, prospective customers, account owners, authorized users, support contacts, and other people who interact with us. When a business customer submits personal information for us to process only on its behalf, that customer is the controller or business and PricePolice acts as its processor or service provider under the customer's instructions. Requests about that customer-controlled information should generally be directed to the customer.
1 Information we collect
Account and contact information. Name, business email, telephone number, company, job role, login identifier, account preferences, team membership, and authentication information. If you use Google sign-in, we receive information Google makes available for authentication, such as your name, email address, profile image, and a provider identifier; we do not receive your Google password.
Billing and transaction information. Subscription, plan, invoices, payment status, billing address, tax information, and transaction identifiers. Payment-card details are handled by our payment processor and are not intended to be stored by PricePolice.
Customer and monitoring data. Business domains, store details, catalogs, product names, SKUs, URLs, your prices, MAP values, product feeds, competitor URLs, source configuration, connected-store data, scan instructions, team recipients, and other information you submit or authorize us to retrieve.
Observed and derived data. Publicly available product-page information, advertised prices, sellers, availability, product identifiers, page excerpts, screenshots, timestamps, match results, differences, MAP findings, scan status, alerts, history, reports, and analytics derived from monitoring.
Device usage and log data. IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring and visited pages, dates and times, session activity, feature use, clicks, diagnostic events, authentication events, approximate location derived from IP, cookie identifiers, and security logs.
Communications. Contact forms, support requests, feedback, survey responses, call or meeting details, and other messages you send us.
Information from integrations and third parties. Information from identity providers, ecommerce platforms, product feeds, payment providers, service providers, referrals, and public sources, according to your settings and the third party's permissions.
2 How we use information
Provide the Service. Create and administer accounts; authenticate users; import and organize catalogs; run Price Scans; match products; compare prices; identify potential undercutting or MAP events; maintain evidence and history; send alerts; produce reports; operate integrations; and provide support.
Operate and improve. Measure performance, troubleshoot, test, develop features, understand usage, conduct de-identified analytics, improve matching and monitoring, and maintain continuity.
Secure and protect. Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, prohibited collection, and security incidents; enforce agreements; protect customers, source sites, and third parties.
Bill and administer. Process subscriptions and payments, send invoices and service notices, manage trials and renewals, collect amounts owed, and maintain tax and accounting records.
Communicate and market. Respond to requests, send transactional and product communications, and send marketing about PricePolice or related business services where permitted. You may opt out of marketing email; service messages may continue.
Comply and defend. Comply with law and legal process; respond to lawful requests; establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and complete corporate transactions.
3 Sources of information
Directly from you. When you register, subscribe, configure the Service, connect an integration, import a file, contact us, or otherwise provide information.
Automatically. Through the Service, cookies, local storage, logs, and similar technologies.
From your organization. From an account owner, administrator, colleague, or business customer that authorizes your access.
From connected providers. From Google and other identity providers, payment processors, ecommerce platforms, product feeds, and integrations you authorize.
From public sources. From publicly accessible product pages, merchant pages, marketplace listings, and other websites monitored through the Service.
4 Legal bases for processing
Contract. We process information needed to provide accounts, subscriptions, monitoring, alerts, reports, integrations, billing, and support.
Legitimate interests. We process information to secure, operate, analyze, and improve the Service; communicate with business contacts; prevent misuse; and protect legal rights, where those interests are not overridden by applicable privacy rights.
Consent. We rely on consent for certain cookies, marketing, integrations, or other processing where required. You may withdraw consent prospectively.
Legal obligation. We process information to comply with tax, accounting, sanctions, law-enforcement, privacy, and other legal requirements.
5 How we disclose information
Infrastructure and application providers. Hosting, databases, application platforms, storage, content delivery, security, backup, and development operations.
Identity and integration providers. Google and other providers you choose for sign-in, ecommerce, product feeds, or connected services.
Payment and business operations providers. Payment processing, invoicing, accounting, tax, email delivery, customer support, analytics, error monitoring, communications, and professional advisers.
Your organization and authorized users. Account information, monitoring configuration, findings, reports, and activity may be visible to account owners, administrators, team members, and notification recipients.
Legal and safety recipients. Courts, regulators, law enforcement, source owners, affected parties, or advisers when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce agreements, investigate misuse, or protect rights and safety.
Corporate transactions. Potential or actual acquirers, investors, lenders, insurers, and advisers in a merger, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
At your direction. Other parties when you request, authorize, or intentionally disclose the information.
6 Sale sharing and targeted advertising
Current practice. We do not sell personal information for money. We do not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or process it for targeted advertising as those terms are defined by applicable U.S. state privacy laws.
Future changes. If we introduce advertising cookies or another activity treated as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, we will update this Policy and provide any legally required notice and opt-out method before or when the change takes effect.
De-identified data. We may disclose aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify an individual or customer. We maintain it in de-identified form and do not attempt to re-identify it except as permitted by law to test safeguards.
7 Cookies and similar technologies
Essential technologies. We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, security, session continuity, preferences, and core features. Disabling them may prevent the Service from working.
Analytics and optional technologies. We may use analytics or similar tools to understand Service use and improve performance. Where law requires, we will request consent before using non-essential technologies.
Controls. You can use available cookie controls and browser settings. Browser "Do Not Track" signals are not standardized and may not be recognized. Where legally required and technically supported, we will treat a recognized universal opt-out signal, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising for that browser. Because our current practice does not include those activities, such a signal may not change current processing.
8 Google sign in and connected services
Google sign in. When you choose Google sign-in, Google authenticates you and sends us the account information and identifier authorized by that flow. We use it to create, secure, and access your PricePolice account.
Connected stores and feeds. When you connect a store, merchant account, feed, or other integration, we process the information authorized by its permissions to import, synchronize, compare, report, or update features you request. Review the provider's permissions and privacy notice before connecting.
Disconnecting. You may disconnect an integration through PricePolice or the provider where controls are available. Disconnecting stops future access but does not automatically delete information already imported or records we must retain. You may request deletion as described below.
9 Data retention
General rule. We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described, including providing the Service, maintaining plan-based history, completing deletion and backup cycles, resolving disputes, securing the Service, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal obligations.
Operational periods. Account, catalog, configuration, and monitoring information is generally retained while the account is active and for a limited period after closure. Billing and tax records may be retained for seven years or as required by law; security logs may be retained for approximately 12 months; support records may be retained for approximately three years; backups expire through normal rotation, generally within 90 days after deletion from active systems.
Exceptions. We may retain information longer for a legal hold, dispute, security investigation, fraud prevention, or another legal obligation. We may retain de-identified information without a fixed period where it no longer identifies an individual or customer.
10 Security
Safeguards. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, authentication, encryption where appropriate, monitoring, and vendor controls.
No guarantee. No system is completely secure. You are responsible for strong credentials, appropriate user permissions, protecting exports, and notifying us promptly of suspected account compromise at getsupport@pricepolice.io.
11 International processing
United States operations. PricePolice is operated from the United States, and information may be stored and processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Those countries may have different privacy laws.
Transfer safeguards. Where required, we use contractual or other recognized safeguards for international transfers. Business customers may contact us about an applicable data-processing addendum.
12 Your choices and privacy rights
Account choices. You may update certain account information, manage users and notifications, disconnect integrations, export available reports, and cancel a subscription through the Service or by contacting us.
Marketing. Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or contact us. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional, security, billing, or other service communications.
Privacy rights. Depending on where you live and subject to exceptions, you may have the right to know or access personal information; correct inaccuracies; delete information; obtain a portable copy; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; and appeal a denied request.
Submit a request. Email getsupport@pricepolice.io with the subject "Privacy Request." Describe the right you want to exercise and the account or relationship involved. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify identity and authority. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying with "Privacy Appeal." You may also use an authorized agent where law permits; we may verify the agent's authority and your identity.
Non-discrimination. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. We may be unable to provide features that require information you ask us to delete or stop processing.
Customer-controlled data. If information was submitted by a PricePolice business customer and we process it only for that customer, contact the customer first. We will assist the customer as required by contract and law.
13 U.S. state privacy disclosures
Scope. State privacy rights apply only when the relevant law covers PricePolice and the information. Business-contact, employment-context, publicly available, de-identified, and other information may be excluded or exempt under a particular law.
Categories collected. During the preceding 12 months, we may have collected identifiers; customer-record information; commercial and transaction information; internet or electronic activity; approximate geolocation; professional or employment-related information; account credentials; and inferences about product, pricing, or Service preferences. The specific examples, sources, purposes, recipients, and retention approach are described in Sections 1 through 9.
Sensitive information. We collect account credentials and payment-related information needed to secure and administer accounts. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about individuals. Do not submit other sensitive information unless expressly authorized in writing.
Recipients. We may disclose the categories above to infrastructure, application, identity, integration, payment, communications, analytics, security, support, professional-adviser, legal, and corporate-transaction recipients as described in Section 5.
No sale or sharing. We have not sold personal information for money in the preceding 12 months and do not currently share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of individuals under 16.
Metrics. If applicable law requires publication of privacy-request metrics, we will publish them in the form and on the schedule required.
14 Children
Business service. The Service is not directed to children and may be used only by people age 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact getsupport@pricepolice.io so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.
15 Third party links and public sources
Third-party practices. The Service links to and monitors third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. PricePolice is not responsible for a third party's privacy or security practices.
Public product data. Monitoring is designed for business and product information on publicly accessible pages, not information about private individuals. A source page may incidentally contain names, seller identifiers, or contact details. Customers must not use PricePolice to build consumer profiles or collect regulated personal information.
16 Changes to this Policy
Updates. We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the Service, vendors, or law. We will post the updated Policy and revise the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice when required.
